N&V (Null and Void) is a neutral ground for supernatural creatures to interact with adventurers like yourself. With an emphasis on story and roleplay, N&V is an immersive venue that explores a variety of themes. Our hosts have the primary focus of providing quality, interactive roleplay to further develop your character’s story as well as their own. You will find a variety of different creature types among our hosts, and nothing is quite like what it seems.

IC Setting

You’ve stepped through a portal into the in between. As with most spaces in the void it's taken the form determined by it's current denizens against a backdrop of pure darkness. Simple desires of each patron can often manifest with one of our hosts. The void is the connective tissue between different worlds, and it is here where you can interact with entities previously beyond your grasp. There is the pervasive feeling of uneasiness (that many find thrilling) when within the venue.

You’ve might have seen notes swap hands on the busy streets of Uldah, found a cryptic message on a shipping manifest in Limsa, or a carved symbol on a less traveled grove in Gridania. Standing outside of it now, you are greeted with the same symbol that has haunted your travels leading you here to this place.It appears so mundane, so normal – that for a moment you truly wonder if the fuss you’ve made to get to this point is all in your head. Perhaps, it has all been errant dreams and this journey has been a misguided fool’s errand. Still, you’ve come this far and while it isn’t too late to turn back the draw of the unknown outweighs your better judgement, and you turn the handle.You don’t remember stepping into the dimly lit foyer. You are almost certain you felt yourself tugged forward despite no one touching you. The air is notably colder despite the warm expression from what you can only discern to be one your hosts for the evening. The ebbing fear recedes with a welcoming smile, a soft word, or perhaps just a light brush of your shoulder as you are escorted in.Was that a set of fangs you had seen? You are almost certain you saw a scaled hand on the guard in the corner as he removed his glove. Those horns didn’t look to be common to other Xaela that you’ve seen. You realize in that moment that all you see, may not truly be what it seems.

What are Voidsent?

When a creature is deemed too unnatural to be "of Eorzea", they are categorized as "voidsent", based on the common belief they were sent by a sinister force from beyond the corporeal realm. The Void was originally one of the thirteen versions of the Source created when Zodiark was defeated in ancient times. The Void is similar to the First as it became imbalanced in the absence of light. The world and its denizens transformed after being consumed by the darkness. Voidsent are beings from this space that have crossed over into this realm. There are numerous types of voidsent and one might be quite different from the other.

What We Provide

Null & Void provides a neutral, lore rich setting to interact with a variety of different creatures including voidsent, werewolves, vampires, fae, and many more. Null & Void is primarily a host club for conversation and company. Immersive roleplay is the primary focus of the venue. Each of our staff members have unique stories, traits, and contributions to lore. Neutral ground is enforced by security as well as the denizens of this void space and anyone seeking to disrupt operations will surely face a dire consequence.Make sure to review the venue rules before venturing into the void or face certain peril.

Venue Rules: Void Where Prohibited

Given we are an immersive roleplay venue, we encourage and aim to provide a platform for ic connections to not only happen, but grow and develop. As such, please refrain from using the /say chat for ooc comments, chatter, and so on. Refrain from using the /yell or /shout chat unless given explicit permission from management.

RP Tags On vs. RP Tags off

If you want to roleplay and connect with hosts, please keep your 'roleplay' tag on for the duration of your stay.If you wish to simply observe and check out our venue, you are more than welcome to do so! We ask that you have your tag off so as to not confuse our hosts.

Mature Audiences Only

Because of the topics involved in our venue, both you (OOC) and your character (IC) must be 18+. If it is found out neither is the case, you will be asked to leave; minors will not be tolerated at the venue under any circumstances.

No minions, no weapons

The void's barely hospitable as it is; we've done what we can to ensure the bar's intact and that's that. As such, minions are prohibited from the premises unless you don't mind not seeing your small friend ever again. Weapons aren't needed within these walls, so they, too, are not allowed in the venue: words and drinks solve any quarrel, after all.

No Discrimination

As a venue, we are welcoming to all sorts of characters, regardless of race, orientation, sex, or representation. Any display of slurs, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated nor allowed. Violation will invoke immediate banishment from the venue and discord.

Sins of the Flesh

We do not sell ERP. We cannot and won't police what goes on in private chat or rooms, however Null and Void's focus is on story and not ERP.

Respect

This goes both ways; please respect and understand our staff may not be comfortable roleplaying topics for reasons of their own discretion. Should you wish for a particular scene, understand that there may be a varying amount of people willing and available to write it.

Take Fighting Outside

The only fighting ever approved is through the proprietress (pre-arranged fight for entertainment, for example). Staff will not start fights with patrons and anyone in violation of this rule will either find themselves as an entree for our staff or escorted outside.

Back when Fen was working as a Gleaner, Fen came across some old Tomes on Voidsent. Needless to say, the young Viera's curiosity got the better of him and long story short, he became bound to the Voidsent who was attached to the spell written on the Tome. The Voidsent attached himself to Fen's urge to seek revenge on the IVth Garlean Legion who murdered his clan in the Golmore Jungle. Once he became bound to the creature, Fen took up various mercenary jobs to still quell his own lust for exploration. Eventually, he somehow found his way to the Null and Void where he took up residence as both bartender and host.

He especially loves to talk about his “pack”, which he calls his “Bae’uns” (minions) and “Bai’ruins” (mounts) and it appears that he can communicate with them and other creature types. Even stranger still, the Fuath that is confined to the small fountain within the venue, has seemingly taken a fond interest in him. Casual Roleplay

Under the bar's place in the vast void, this is the standard encounter of a host approaching and giving what time they can. Attention's not given freely for long, however; eyes must be kept diligent and float our lovely hosts around to ensure all are catered to. Please note that busy nights might leave time limited with the host that catches your sight!If you want to be approached by our creatures and folks of the night, do have your 'roleplay' tag on to let our hosts know you're fresh meat. If you prefer to explore and stick to the shadows, then no tag will keep you invisible to our hungry eyes--for now. Should you find a particular host to spend time with, or a preference of traits, contact management or the head host to be pointed in the right direction!
